AdBlue Supplier

AdBlue is officially called AUS32 which stands for Aqueous Urea Solution 32.5%. It contains 32.5% of high purity water and 67.5% of deionised water. Vehicles with Euro IV, V, VI (4, 5 and 6) have a designated tank fitted to store AdBlue.

What is AdBlue?

Adblue, also known as Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), is a specialised solution designed to reduce harmful emissions in diesel vehicles. It is a clear, non-toxic liquid that is injected into the exhaust system of diesel engines equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. This technology reduces harmful emissions (NOx). AdBlue is injected into the catalyst of the SCR system, where it triggers a chemical reaction with the ammonia. This chemical reaction converts the toxic nitrogen oxides (NOx) into nitrogen (N2) and water vapour (H2O). Water vapour and nitrogen are naturally occurring gasses that are harmless to the environment.

Why is AdBlue needed?

Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) has recently become key in helping cut harmful emissions produced by diesel engines. With the government putting increasing pressure on diesel car manufacturers to do something about the substantial amount of harmful emissions released by exhausts, AdBlue was introduced by the automotive industry to help improve our health and cut down on Nitrogen Oxide.
